> UIQ 3 not as Intuitive as UIQ 2

does anyone feel that this is true. i been using the p900 for about 4 years now and its been great. i've only upgraded to p1i because the limit of only 128mb usable space was really hurting me.
well im only saying this because some of the stuff i usually used on the p900, finding it on the p1i was a pain in the @ss. stuff like changing the view folder to like outbox or sent took 2-3 clicks to do where as it was usually at the top in the corner. i do really like the more box but sometimes its a pain to have to go in there all the time.
i just got the p1i 2 weeks ago and i hardly ever talk on the phone. but just today my little cousin called me to pick her up and i didnt have her number at the time so i tried to go back to the call log to look for her number. so i went and click on the phone icon on the standy screen and by my surprise i click more and there's no call log feature in the more box. i was like what the hell. how am i suppose to find this thing. took me awhile to realized that i had to go into control panel and click phone and find call log. when wasnt call log and speed calls incorporated into the main phone feature. i was so confused. i was also a little pissed that this thing is called a smartphone and some of the things on here isnt that smart at all.
also one thing i find annoying is reading email and text on this thing. why isnt there a next button like u see on the rss feed reader. i always have to push back and then read the next email or text. and is there a way to turn off the sensitivity when trying to check the check boxes for email. its like if u accidentally check outside that tiny box (which is really easy to do) it opens up the email. even with the stylus i always somehow do this. on my p900 i was easily able to use my finger to check a bunch of emails that i wanted to delete and just delete them. why is it so hard to do it on this new uiq.
with the p900 i really got used to using my finger a lot but with this p1i i've been forced to pulled the stylus a lot. especially when i want to check on anything in the status bar on the top. mind you i have small hands too.
sorry for the rant but i just want to point out some stuff i feel that used to work great on the p900 and which was why i had it for 4 yrs and now with this new uiq, im starting to lose interest. the simple things shouldnt be so hard, if you know what i mean.

Actually, to access Call Log in standby screen u just tap on 'Calls'. P1 ui is different than old uiq 2, maybe u like p990 ui better (with FC+FO)?

And the same button will call a number, if you've typed in a number on the standby screen (not funny: general description "calls" and the verb "call" is the same (formal) word in Norwegian).
..about the e-mail client.. there are a lot of curious solutions here, no doubt about that. For instance, you can only use the checkboxes to delete messages. You can't mark several messages and send them to a folder. To do that, you need to open the message, and then choose send to. At least if you're going to send it to an external folder. But there are overlaps on the commands on the list- view and when the mail is opened, so it's not exactly intuitive.
That program has been updated several times lately, though - so write some customer support mail, or perhaps write here:
http://uiq3.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php/Phones/P1i
..or else we're guaranteed that absolutely nothing happens about it. (At least the things that are related to lists and functions in the menus.)

I did when I first upgraded to a P990 from a P910, but now that I've got used to it, I actually find it more intuitive than UIQ 2.
You're right though, it does have a few navigation issues that require more taps or button presses than they perhaps should, but overall I think it's an improvement over it's predecessor.

nice to hear that, does it take a lot of getting used to if you come from a non UIQ3 phone?
