> K800i metal thingies under keypad broken
Bookmark topic
My k800i's "back" key recently stopped working. After a few days of having to press it really hard to get it to work, i opened up my phone to see what's wrong and found fungus on the contact between the key and the board.
After scraping / cleaning the contact, the key works fine but the small metal piece glued to the white sheet under the keypad (which gives the button it's "poppy-ness" or "clicky-ness") has become deformed from my neanderthal efforts to press the button when it didn't work.
Now the button is more like a touch-sensitive button than a regular push/pop button.
Is there any way to get a new set of contacts (the white sheet between the rubber keys and the contacts on the circuit board), or must I transplant the metal piece from another key i don't use as much?

You can get replacement keypad PCBs I think off Ebay, they shouldn't be too expensive either
