My phone is stuck with the stupid "operation failed" error when trying to access the games and applications menu. Is there any way to fix this WITHOUT using WOTAN etc.? (I Don't have a credit card.) I updated via SEUS from R1ED001 to R1KG001 without success. Master reset didn't work either. Can I use a offline flashing app to fix this? Thank you for your time!

@decay: upgrading erom will, imo, solve some problems that your phone would bring up in some future. if it's ok by now, leave it like that till it gives you some problem as the Operation Failed. and no, it wont change nothing else but the erom itself. wotan client does it for free.

Just use XS++ 1.68 and reflash your firmware. Get your firmware from topsony (post 20 message there). But beware all your personal data will be erased completely so backup your data first.

Let me just say to all you people that are saying that upgrading the erom will fix this problem, that it has nothing to do with the erom, it's the file system.
You have to re-flash the file system to fix this problem.
There are guides to this on this forum, i did it last night and it's all fixed up now.

Flash your filesystem. These days when XS++ flashing is supported is very easier to try flashing the firmware first without messing with the EROM as it is a bit risky.
You can flash your phone with offline tools like XS++.
And btw, you don't need to download firmwares only from topsony.com...
There are plenty of K800 firmwares here:
http://www.iprotebe.cz/ (registration is needed but it's free and don't require posting or waiting...)
All are there, waiting for you, ready to go in your phone
