> P1i and proxy

I Just tried connecting my P1i to my school's wlan, it works all good except that I am required to use proxy to be able to browse webpages...
I have been looking through opera's settings but cannot seem to be able to configure the browser to use proxy.
Does the browser not support proxy? If so, are there any solutions?
Thanks.

you need to set the proxy onto the connection itself I believe
main menu > tools > connections mgr > more > settings > internet accounts > click the account > more > proxy

Ah there it is... In my P910i I set the proxy inside opera... Just got the P1i this saturday so I hadn't looked closely at the connection settings.
But well the proxy requires authentication, am I missing that setting somewhere or is it maby not supported?

A dialogue box pops up when you try to connect the first time..
(should've been a tab for the log- on in the connections- manager, imo.)

Hmm yeah seems to be that way... but I don't get any box... Instead I get this error message
"The proxy server requested a login authentication method that is not supported"
Is there any other solution?

That's strange. I could access a password protected proxy with a usual web- address, after the last firmware..
Maybe they've managed to implement some sort of half- way solution that doesn't support ssl..? lol.
edit: probably not related, but I installed the last version of activesynch.. (from SE's site), since it was supposed to go along with the last firmware, and the messenger app handled so badly with the connections and so on. Maybe there are more generic usage- component updates in that package?

Hmm, I haven't updated my phone since I got it.. Is there any newer version of opera than 8.65 that I currently have?

Mm, but that's just it. The phone seems to use different generic components for connecting all the time, independent on the program. And.. the proxy- settings were buffed up in the latest firmware, so it could be worth a try..
