Have a P990i and I cant work opera mini on my phone. I installed and and when it says testing steps 1-----6 at the end it says cant find internet.
my internet work fine with the web browser preintalled but how can opera mini not search for it???
im really confused!

because opera mini is much faster to load. it also allows you to see the layout of the page, albeit, not able to read the text.

The inbuilt opera is not available in P990's FC mode.

Haven't noticed any XML parsing errors... Can you name me some sites where you get that problem, so I can go and check it out?

for a start the gmail doestn work. either it says network problem or something else. I tried m.gmail, the gmail app application which also doesnt work coz it cant find an internet connection. I get XML error in a lot of random sites when i am browsing ...i will make a note of it next time.
but my biggest problem is that I have not been able to access GMAIL from anywhere neither the browser, nor the email setup from POP3 accounts.....
and then on top of that I get XML parsing failed!!!

I don't think this guy need help in finding out if YOU get the same pargins errors but help to make his Opera Mini work!
Did you try to reinstall opera mini? Which version do you have? If not the latest, get it. NOT the beta I would suggest!!!
Also, fist DELETE the current one, restart then install the latest non-beta Opera Mini for the P990i phone!
If you have a current WORKING one, it should work. Another point of interest is if you connect via UMTS, GPRS or WiFi.... and which connections run in which order...!

Huh, I was going to check out the sites and see if their xml code had any flaws that make it behave badly... But clearly that's not the case with gmail.
And yeah it's xml parsing errors, not pargins error.
Anyway back to the problem.
nesh, have you checked out Gmail Lite? I think it's quite handy and have been using it on my pda's and phones for quite some time.
