I have been notice this thing that some members's birthday thread have quite few replys and on the other hand some ppl are getting best wish from almost everyone

is it because of popularity of a specific member or u ppl just wish to your acquaintance? Wishing someone on someones sepical day is that diffcult? Or we only ought to wish our friends or popular ppl?

everyone doesnt always get on. sometime always posting in the birthday threads gets old as much as i hate to say it, so personally, i only do it to people i have talked to here, or have known on here for awhile... but then again, like se_p800, i just didnt have time to post in his thread.
so its just sometimes we dont have time, sometimes we only do our friends... everyone has their own reasons.

I dont think its anyone's job to wish people a happy birthday on esato. with over 100,000 members i would think every day its quite a few people birthdays today
Sorry its first thing in the morning but you get what i mean.

i wonder just how much this matters...
ppl enjoy sending their best wishes and if that puts a smile on sy's face on their b'day that's great.
get the point about the inequality of it all, but it's par for the course that some ppl will be known better than others due to their presence on esato, and not because they r more popular...

I agree with that fully.
It's really about your presence or importance, i.e. laffen is the creator of the site, therefore he gets many a little more recognition than say some who has less than 2 posts.
