Hope this is the right section, well as some of u know a few days ago i asked for help whether i should buy the SE W950i or not and i decided to buy it instead of W900i cuz it was cheaper and plus i kinda liked it more than W900i anyways.

I just have a quick question, the phone has 3G correct? It says so in the official SE site with the specifications, but i can't find the 3G camera. I played around with the fone and couldn't find anything related to 3G settings either, is there any setup required and where is the camera? I do however see an icon on the top of my fone but it appears randomly, it's like a blue eye icon and when i click on it a box shows up saying 3G detached. Since it showed up, that means the phone does have 3G but i can't find where the camera is. Also since the fone is symbian or smartphone or watever, can i install .sis files on it? If so, can someone tell me where to download the GPRS program whether it's in jar or .sis for W950i? I've seen a Youtube video of a guy showing his W950i using GPRS on it and i kinda need it bad cuz i use maps a lot and it's too costly to buy an actual GPRS.

just to sum my questions up:

1. Where is the 3G camera
2. How do i setup 3G?
3. How to bring up the 3G icon thing (blue eye icon) and what does the icon mean?
4. Can my fone install .sis files?
5. Where to download GPRS program (.sis/.jar)

1. it has no camera., the 3G for w950 is for data transfers only
2. call your network on how to set-up 3g.,
3. the phone mus be in 3g coverage for the 3g icon appear

4. w950 is a symbian UIQ3 Ver. 9.1 so it should able to install sis and jar
5. try www.getjar.com and www.my-symbian.com

ouch! i am sorry mate, w950/m600 doesn't support video calling, so u won't be able to see and be seen throughout the conversation

it's 3G is solely mean for DATA only

the 3G icon shows up randomly because it shows the 3G coverage of your provider. If you see it, then that means there's 3G signal in that area... if it disappears, then that means there is no 3G serivce (so your phone goes back to regular GPRS)

The reason the W950 is cheaper is because it doesn't support video calls... no camera. For thsoe people that didn't care for the video & camera functions of today's phones but wanted a decent PDA built in.

Detached=No coverage
To attach 3G, simply go to an area with 3G coverage, it'll attach itself right back to your phone like superglue For GPS programs, you can shop around for it at my-symbian, handango, SE application shop, etc, you can browse the forum on links for less mainstream online shopping.
