You may or not remember me after my posts on dead k800i..
i managed to get the phone working using the WOTAN client and flashing the EROM ...
yay i got the phone to work and power up ok :0)
but after several long charging attempts
4 hours then
10 hours
then over night 15+ hours on (twice)
the phone only holds charge for 3-4 hours MAX :0(
bluetooth is turned off and i have power save turned on but still it wont stay on for more than a few hours :0(
Does anyone have any ideas as to why ???
is there any way as to test the battery ??
please help

There's only one solution to this.Try buying a new battery.

I wonder if the resuscitating of the K800 has any effect (in any way) to the fone's battery or perhaps in the fone's charging process/cycle. . . .

i think i read somewhere that right after a firmware upgrade/downgrade/complete makeover/resurrection, the battery life will significantly drop, as it's kind of adapting to the new firmware, and then it'll get back to normal after a few charge/discharge cycles.
May it be the case here or is this whole story an urban legend?

that might be true on some way imo, cos the hw has to "get used" to the new firmware too... however whats true, is that an upgrade can increase a bit batt life too

... or decrease it.
I remember after i upgraded my K750i to R1DB001, the battery life dropped by at least 20% (and this was weeks after the upgrade, so the hardware was definitely used to its new firmware buddy)
After i downgraded back to R1CA021, battery life was back to normal.
