I tried to download googlemaps and gmail on my P1i, but it says: can not open JAD file. I've updated the software and still nothing.
Does anybody have the same problem or a solution?

As far as I know, you don't need the JAD file? The JAR file contains the actual application and assets and so it's this that you need to install, you don't need to open the JAD file.

Whell, ok, but when i press the link, it won't download because it can't read de JAD file.
That's strange isn't it. It happens with www.gmail/app and www.google.com/gmm

Ok, switch off the 'use proxy' in your GPRS settings (Control Panel> Connections>Internet Accounts>'your account' > More) and then try again.

Might just work

Hmmmm... I don't know what to suggest then

There's a direct link to the .jar file for gmail on the google mobile support forums (or at least there used to be) but I've never seen links for the google maps jar files unfortunately.

Sorry I can't be of any help, maybe somebody else on here can shed some light on this problem?

In any case thanks for your input:)

I'll try to find the jar file on the net, maybe I get lucky?

for Google Maps your better off using this link as it provides the specific UIQ version rather than the generic Java one...

www.google.fr/gmm

I tried the link, but the same, it won't read the jad file. I'm beginning to think it has something to do with the opperator settings.....
