Just bought the black 4Gb version of this player and have been blown away by it's sound quality! Much better than the rather mediocre sound quality from iPods. It was recommended to me by a very tech minded mate, and I think I made the right decision here, not sure if my 5.5G 30Gb iPod Video is going to get much of a look in now! Excellent bass response, very good clarity and plenty of audio settings to customise for your particular earphones or tastes.

Anyone else got one of these players? What do you think of it?

Did some general Meizu searching and found that there's actually a dedicated fansite for that make!

I'm seriously tempted to get a higher capacity version when one comes out and sell the iPod

Just got a pair of Sennheiser CX300 earphones to go with the player, brilliant sound quality! I'd recommend these player (and those headphones) to anyone Doesn't seem to be many other Meizu users on Esato!

btw, anyone else used the CX300s, what do you think of them?

Indeed, I'm well pleased with the CX300s, bargain at a tenner new off Ebay too!

I am very impressed with the sound from the Meizu too, though of course I'm no audio expert but it knocks spots off my iPod! I'm still experimenting with it though and trying to find the right sound settings, there are tons to play about with!

It does have an '80s style graphic equiliser reg! Well, a virtual one anyway

There's also a virtual 3D setting to play with, bass/treble boosts, and some other 3D- related settings to play with.... or you could just turn them all off
