> O2 Launches Unlimited Data Plans
Bookmark topic
O2 will launch unlimited data downloads on 1 October for its prepay and contract customers for £7.50 a month.
The package is for users wanting to browse the internet and send emails and comes with a fair usage policy that offers around 200MB a month, which is equivalent to around 1,400 web pages.
The service is the same price as T-Mobile's Web'n'Walk package, which gives users 1GB of usage a month.
The network will also launch O2 Web Max for customers who want to connect their handset to a PC or use a data card. This costs £30 a month and comes with 3GB of usage a month.
Business customers have also been targeted by O2 with a service called Unlimited BlackBerry. This gives users unlimited access to the internet on BlackBerry with a fair usage policy of 200MB at £10 a month. It is aimed at customers who want to browse the web while their email is pushed to their handset via the BlackBerry service.

Is that inclusive of Mobileweb settings, I read somewhere that it didn't include useage of the Mobileweb settings?
Hope it does though, I might take that offer up on my O2 contract!

@haynesycop and all,
Did you not notice this is only a fifth of the data allowance you get with T-Mobile and as soon as you go over the 200mb just how much will 02 charge per MB is it still going to be £2 per MB?
This was the Data plan that 02 said was going to be as good if not better than any other Networks and from what i can see i really don't think so. Although this is at least better than VodaFones offerings but only by a whole 80MB. But neither of these Networks have still got any where near to T-Mobile or 3.
I also noticed this 1,400 pages approx is the same quoted figure for their iPhone unlimited Data tariff although that includes unlimited WiFi again with a Fair usage limit. Which IMO means using a iPhone with just a 200MB limit is a long way from unlimited Data especially if you are going to be making full use of the inbuilt push E-Mail and weather service that will automatically update plus of course if you use Google maps which will use quite a bit of data as well.
IMO i can see a lot of very angry iPhone users who thought they had an unlimited Data package with their iPhone for £35pm getting hit with some seriously expensive bills at the end of the month. To be honest how anyone can even try and call 200MB a month unlimited is nothing more than a joke.

Also I think they have EDGE up. Normally it says G for GPRS on this phone but for a short while today it had an E which I guess is EDGE.

I am hearing a lot of mixed stories about this and O2. This thread is based on PAYG but the iPhone will be on contract which I have heard will be 1GB cap.
Guess we just wait until monday.
