> Fring Question: Running in background

My wifi isn't working so I haven't tried this out, but lets say one was to leave frin on in the background and return to the activity screen,
Would fring still remain connected and would it be able to give me alerts when a call comes in on skype or google talk or will I have to be in the fring menu the whole time?
If not is there any other program that can do something similiar...mainly I want to use skype and google talk as cheap means to do international calls once I move away to college.

Even if you go back to the activity screen fring will alert you when you get a messege/ call.
