hi,
i m in singapore, and bought a vodafone branded K800, for cheap,
though everything else is fine, network has a unique problem
if i dont call or sms anyone,and dont receive any calls or sms for a few hours, then the network (Singtel), forgets about my phone, so anybody trying to call me, will find my phone "unreachable", though at all times, it continuse to show full signal strength on the screen.
now if i make a call/send a sms, then again the phone comes alive, and then i can receive any calls or sms.
so now i have to call the balance enquiry number, every 2-3 hours, to keep my phone visible to the network !!!
can anyone suggest a solution?
also the icon shows the "allowed network" and not the "home network"
can this problem be solved, or will i have to get it debranded ?
