i have seen pics of the w880 standby screen with a small clock and date in the bottom right corner (which is what i have) and other pics with a big clock that fills the whole of the bottom of the screen. How do I get a bigger clock?

hi

go to menu, settings, display and look for the clock option. there you will have two options more to set the clock as you want.

All I have in the display menu is Wallpaper, Themes, Screen Saver, Brightness, Sleep mode clock.
And the only options for sleep mode clock are on and off.
Hmmm could it be anything to do with the fact that I'm on orange?

I've just tried this now and it does work. Turn sleep mode clock on and then put your phone under a fairly bright light and you should see the clock. It is quite hard to see when there is no light in the level of natural light there is at the moment.

But I only get the clock in the bottom right corner. I want the big clock at the bottom of the screen. Forgive me if I'm wrong but I thought if the big clock was there the little one wouldn't be in the bottom right corner.

I can't afford to unbrand it. Is there any way to do it for free?
