Just phoned SE Middle East and they informed me that the latest information from Sweden that the P800 will be released in the UAE in the same time as Europe!! ie. end of this month!! But no information about the price as yet, then that lady requested my phone number to call me wen the handset is released....Thats it.

It seems that Juma Al Majid was just bluffing about it being released @ Jan 2003, however it seems that the demand here in the UAE is high which is clearly explained by the number of calls to SE Middle East, (I was the caller number 134) the lady said, and SE's response just falls inline with the demand, thats what I think. Maybe, maybe not...

Hope what they say is JUST THE TRUTH!! I CAN'T WAIT!!

and i think it might be possilbe to get the P800 by this end of this month because Dec 6th was the last day for the applications.... i hope they will sort things quickly and put the applications in the CD!!

The fact is, that so many people may visit the UAE for Xmas holidays, and SE Middle East hopes more than ever that the P800 will be available to meet the increasing demand (as I said, i was the caller 134 in two days in a row) and to make a very 'memoriable' Xmas present! I believe that the UAE and Lebanon will be the first arabian countries to get the P800. The rest of the other arabian countries (Jordan, Egypt, KSA etc.) will get it @ Jan2003 onwards, coz I knew that the phones reach them late thatn the UAE, coz it is applicable to Nokia as well...

Hope we get a 'serious' Xmas gift!!

Well, it seems to be true - I called SE Middle East in Dubai just now and they confirmed that P800 will be released before the end of this year.
I left my email and I was promised to be contaced when it hits the shelves.
So all in all - this year might just end with fireworks after all...

Oh boy...could this really be the end of the biblical wait? Come to think about it...I'm actually going to miss all this tension, discussions, speculations and daily snooping on the internet for any leading clues...

On the other hand - I can't wait to have my P800, finally and see what wonderful apps will be coming out in coming months. It's one hell of a gadget...

Yes. But our authorized dealer promised a delivery date of 'end of Jan 2003' I think there must be some kind of reality in what SE Middle East says!! Lets hope...

Here is a very interesting issue about those scumbags in Juma Al Majid (The Authorized Dealer of SE in the UAE):

Check www.sonyericsson.com/ae, (It is the SE Middle East official website), and you should find that the T300 is now posted there!! But the Juma Al Majid scumbags still insist that the phone is coming end of Jan 2003!!! Along with the P800 and the T100!!

Okay, the P800 and the T100 is not posted yet, but T300 is! So I think the same will go for P800 and the T100 very soon, maybe, maybe not...
