I was originally going to go for non contract broadband but its too much hassle so ive been looking around and there hundreds of broadband deals and i cant make my mind up which to go for.
What deal have you guys got or do you reccomend?

I dont mind cable or ASL, just after the best deal possible.
I work during the day monday to friday so it would only be evening and weekends mainly and i download a fair amount but not excessive amounts
The only online gaming i play is poker.
And no fixed IP required

dependant on what downloading you do... I'd suggest pipex or UKFSN...
I've been with Pipex for about 5 years now and never ever had an issue, my download speeds get throttled of an evening but there are ways and means, or UKFSN offer a flat rate no nonsense connection....
The home office 45 is a fave of UKFSNs among web people...
or pipex max as I'm on...
although see if you can get BE unlimited.. they offer 20mb ADSL but doesn't work in my neck of the woods.

I'm with fast4, £15 per month for 8mb and there is no cancellation period, which swung it for me.
Depends what speeds you can get in your area, you maybe able to get much more than 8mb.
