...yeah, does anyone use googlonymous.com?
Is it really effective privacy-wise?

You see that animated gif advertising banner at the top of googlonymous? That probably plants a cookie that stores more information about you in one visit than google ever will

The whole web privacy thing has been blown out of proportion. Sure, google has been in the press over it and, as you'll know from my thread about UK call logging that you replied in, I'm not a fan of such sneaky tactics.

But believe me, that banner ad probably knows what colour pants you're wearing so I reckon you're probably much safer using the real google
