Er.. So I can't figure out how to enable the keylock while making a call. Anyone know how to?
(On the other hand, I just figured out the automatic keylock is perfectly synchronised with the automatic light- dimming.. *shakes head*)

Don't know about the P1 but the P990i has that spring button on the side which CAN lock the screen and the buttons while a conversation takes place.

What phone do you have? On my K790, press the power button so the profiles menu shows up, then I press 3 for the keylock function.

Mm, and on the k750 I could push the activity menu, for instance. But on the p1 the standby screen becomes unavailable during a call, and the "back" button can't be used to switch the lock. If you answer a call with the handsfree, though, the lock is still on, if it was when you answered - and I think I disabled it perfectly fine once with the standard * + unlock button. But, there's no way to turn it back on again, manually..? lol. *shakes head*

hm.. so I've been trying to find the function to use in a program.. And it doesn't exist. There's no (common) api for enabling the keylock while a program is running.. *sigh*.
Anyway.. can anyone confirm that the automatic keylock kicks in if you go to the task- manager, and wait, while running an active program in the background? (Imo, there should be a shortcut on the task- manager to enable it quickly, if there are no hardware- shortcuts).

Hm.. It seems the keylock kicks in on most everything else - except when you're making a call..
Is no one else having a problem with this? Say, you need to plug in your phone to a power- outlet while talking, or you happen to push some button with your ear, or something of that sort? Or want to put your phone in your pocket while talking, and want to be sure no buttons are pushed?

Experienced the same problem, transferred sound to bluetooth head set whist talking and no way of turning on the key lock to enable to put the phone in my pocket.... quite annoying. Sorry this is no help to you but at least you know that you're not the only one experiencing this.
How did this work in the older P-series phones, can't remember what I used to do with my old P800?

No, thanks - I was worrying I was becoming retarded or something.
(I made an entry on the
wiki under other/screen- lock. If anyone seconds it, I'll create an entry for it on the reference list.)

I assume this is about the P1 (which works the same as the M600).
during the call (i.e. once you've got an actual cinnection), you can click on the top left menu (the one showing an arrow downward. The last item there is keylock.
at least that's the case with mine: p1i, recent firmware, german language
i use this all the time, when on bluetooth.
now if there were a setting that would keep the screen locked after picking up the call on the headset, that would be useful.
cheers

Majello, you're a star!

I have to say I don't use that top left 'button' enough.
