Lads, I just got myself a Vario III.
I want to stream Radio using Resco Radio. But, would this be very expensive to do via T-Mobile web n walk? As much as I like listening to the radio, I don't want to be hit with a sky-high bill at the end of the month

but the other thing will depend on the bitrate of the stream your recieving. Streaming is very data heavy which is why its not promoted by the networks!
24/64/128Kbps etc - 128kbps (which actually would be more like 100-120) is around 15Kb per second. thats around 900Kb-1Mb of data for every minute you are listening to streaming radio at the highest quality.
if you use you data tarrif for purely internet radio for 30 mins per day at 128Kbps, thats around 1Gb of bandwidth per month.....

The basic Web N Walk package @£7.50 doesn't allow streaming you need to be on one of the other tariffs not sue which one but call T-Mobile and I'm sure they will tell you. The basic tariff only allows using your device for Web browsing and E-Mail, if you want to do additional things you need one of the other tariffs although they do tend to come with bigger allowances to allow for extended use.

Well after all the anticipation, Im actually NOT that impressed with the Vario III. It may just be heading straight back to t-mobile by the end of this week

Whilst for me it would work as unfortunately i am home over 20hrs a day so could use it all it's Data over WiFi if you are out and about this may not prove to be so practical. Remember the iPhone is a Multimedia smart phone first and is only really suited to E- Mail and Web browsing all the other things the TYTN does much better if needed as a business device.
As always it really depends on what you want or need your device to do for some the iPhone may be perfect, personally i will be a lot more interested once it gets 3G/HSDPA as being an EDGE only device IMO does limit it's potential but each to their own.

no it has nothing to do with P2P, its purely streaming media in mp3 and AAC formats....
