Ok I know this is so random, I was watching New Adventures Of Lois And Clark the other day and I noticed Clark Kent move his glasses down so he could use his x-ray vision through a wall. Now my question is WHY?????? Why would he have to move his glasses when his vision can see through walls. It's crazy!!!!

Maybe because if he didn't, the lenses in his specs would refract the X-Rays and make them go out of focus?
He does the same thing when he fires laser beams from his eyes in the films as well.

Ah yes but if he didn't do that, he probably would melt his glasses

its not his cape and suit that gives him the ability to fly and yet he always changes into them to fly
I just think superman has to be superman, and not clark kent, when he is using his powers... simple as...?

He shouldn't do really since a laser is just a beam of light, the lens would focus it just like it does normal light.
Maybe the lasers are special cosmic rays or something

I am also WONDERIN' why to THESE IMMORTALS (specially those GUYS) . . . have to wear their TROUSERS - first before their BRIEFS/JOCKEYS

Really makes no sense

Just try to imagine if they feel like PEEing prior to a fight

I think it is something to do with changing in a small darkened area... I have done it a couple of times in the early morning trying to sneak out before I have woken someone...

)
Come on... we have all done it... ;o)

I agree with cyco with the refraction issue, but I'm not really sure if lenses really affect x-rays the same way it affects light -- i believe it behaves more like a radio wave rather than a light wave.
I also don't think the laser passing through the glasses will make it melt. It will only refract the laser.
Superman has to wear the cape when he flies because it makes the flying scenes and effects easier to create and more realistic.
These are really serious issues we're dealing with here

I'm off to watch the Superman Ballet next weekend, our Maud and me will be sat behind a lead plate, there's no way I'm letting him perve at my missus!

It would be very funny if Superman got up in the morning after a late night and instead of putting on his Superman cloak under his usual suit, he wore them on the outside then went to work, with the glasses
