I was having a discussion with a colleague regards the fact the battery on his his W810 “seems” to run down very quickly if he charges it via the USB lead rather than using the charger.

I have also found battery on my P990i “seems” to last less when it has been in the cradle all day than if I give it a good overnight charge on the charger.

Since I have had my P1 I have been cycling it fully only charging it on the charger every two days.

Does leaving a phone with a fully charged battery in the cradle with USB charging enabled actually damage modern batterys?

And does the USB lead make any difference to the charging of the phone?
