Hi, I had posted this earlier on, Vexii had replied that P1i does not seem to have this functionality, but I really need some help now.

Basically POP works fine and my post is not to request for settings around POP. What I want to know specifically is as follows:

I was using a WM OS earlier, and it had the option of downloading delta components of messages - you could restrict to say a size of 20 KB, etc. and you would receive ALL messages, with the balance portion truncated. In the P1i, there seems to be only options of receiving headers (or) restricting the mails downloaded, based on the size of the mails. This is quite painful as you might want to only read the text of a mail and not see the attachment.

As a result I get to read only about 50% of my emails and the rest is purely the headers. Any alternatives, anybody?

When you receive a mail with attachment, the P1i propose you to download or not the attachement. So if you just want the text, you can, unless I didn't understand

no, thats not it.

On WM devices if you limit mail to 50kb you still get the first 50kb of the message, which usually means you get all the text but perhaps not any attachments

on the P1, if you specify a limit and the email is bigger than that limit you only get the header

I prefer the WM way of doing things

P1 can't do it the WM way with the inbuilt mail client so probably a 3rd party software would be required
