GUIDE: REVIVING DEAD W810 with or wthout GDFS backup
Disclaimer: Do this with your own risk (what the heck, your phone is dead anyway when reading this...)
What's needed: (search the forum for download locations of this SW)
Setool2 lite 1.08 -
http://www.unlockeasy.com/mod[....]e=Downloads&d_op=getit&lid=853
USB Smart SEMC Tool 8.4 (FREE) -
http://www.se-tool.net/security/soft/SEMCtool_v8.4_free.rar
XS++ 2.0 -
http://www.2shared.com/file/2319220/4b398c76/XS_online.html
Service Cable
DCU-60
1. Download FW (Main +FS)
http://www.iprotebe.cz/firmware-w810-cid49-r4ck003
2. Download Customization File
http://www.iprotebe.cz/custom_files-w810
File is .zip. Use the .zip file in Setool2 lite. No need to unzip.
3. Download GDFS
http://www.iprotebe.cz/download/w810gdfs.rar.html
This would be in the .bin format. Don't use the other one.
4. Flash FS+MAIN (r4ck003 only) and Custom file using Setool2 lite 1.08 and DCU-60 / Service Cable. In this step you can also use XS++ 2.0. It was just a matter of preference.
5. Write GDFS using XS++ 2.0 using the file downloaded in step 3 using DCU-60.
6. Do Selected Jobs using USB Smart SEMC Tool 8.4 (FREE)
Tick all:
Clear SP locks
Read All Codes
Clear User Code
Follow prompts. It will ask you twice to remove cable and battery. It's normal.
For more info:
http://forums.se-nse.net/index.php?showtopic=5381
Note: Check here the supported firmware for W810. The highest version of CXC supported is r4ck003. The newer ones won't work.
7. Remove battery, then insert it back . Now turn on.
8. Turn off then insert SIM and Memory card. Perform a master reset
Optional:
9. Now please.... BACKUP your GDFS in case you want to upgrade it to a newer firmware.
10. Upgrade to a newer firmware.
Have fun. Let me know if this has helped you.
