> K850i - O2 Contract Deals?
Bookmark topic
Hi,
I have been with O2 for a couple years now and last year they halved my £18 monthly tariff to around £8.50.
Ive waited past August which was when i could upgrade my phone again so that i could get the K850i. The guy on the phone tells me that the K850i is only available on a £35 per month contract for me and i cannot carry on with the £8.50 per month i am doing now.
Is this information true and what deals have people managed to get with O2 for this K850i?
Danny.

I am completely surprised that anyone would think they can get one of the latest top of the range handsets on £8.50 a month lol. I were originaly expecting to have to pay £100 for it on £28 a month.

local O2 shop said to me, the K850i will come free only if you select a £35pm tarriff.
Worth a try at £8.50pm i guess

Last year I got my K800 at £10pm due to discount. Tried it again this year but no luck, they seem to have all their tariffs much more in line so you can't play the shop off vs the internet vs upgrade dept (as they all seemed to need to meet their own targets even though all part of o2). This time the cheapest deal was the upgrade but with no discount.

Instead of going to the upgrades dept, go to the cancellations dept and ask for your PAC code. This always (never failed for me) gets you a lot better deal than the upgrades dept will give you.

I've been with O2 for about 3 years now and the guy i spoke to on the upgrade line said that at my current contract of £30/month i would be able to have the phone for free at the same price per month. Only thing i forgot to ask was if this applies to a 12 or 18 month contract (dont fancy the idea of being tied in for 18 months!).
Oh and he said it will be available week commencing 8th October....
