> MMS on O2
Bookmark topic
Hi All,
I've got a T68i on O2. Alongside my voice tariff, I also have a GPRS data subscription.
I've rung up O2 to try and get MMS activated, but they tell me that as I have GPRS activated, I can't have MMS activated as well.
I've seen several posts which seem to suggest that it is possible, so are O2 talking rubbish?
If they are correct, I'm going to have to wait until my next billing period, which is at the beginning of January.
All thoughts and advice much appreciated.
Robin

Yup ,just been told the same ,this is utter bollocks, surely MMS works over GPRS, it worked about 5 times on my paygo online tarriff, so it can work. Had it switched over to MMS only will see if this fixes the 'user barred massage'. The real truth is they are blocking the traffic, technical difficulties my @ss!!!!!!!!
Really these useless companies need to sort out there customer relations, 10 billion pounds on 3g, it will be a ferkin fiasco!!!!!

u can use MMS but not though the access point mobile.o2.co.uk
and this is the one u need to use the real web and instant messaging....
I am on o2 UK and bought a nokia 7650...the reason i bought this phone was because i could use them REAL web and instant messenger. At first this was fine and it all worked. However, i then acitvated MMS....and it then disabled my instant messenger and html web access.
The reasin for this is beacuse to use instant messenger and html web i need to use a different acess point from wap and email. I need to use mobile.o2.co.uk.
Once MMS hasd been activated it then disables use to that acces point.
So basically i can no longer use MSN (IM+) and webviewer.
I am now thinking of getting an unlocked SPV. but i need to know if the use of MSN and I.E. on an SPV requires a different access point or can it use the standard wap access point?
