so i had a feel of a dummy model 2day, and felt totally unimpressed. ok so it was a dummy model but its still an 99.9% representation of what the real one will be like.
here are the main reasons why i was dissapointed:
1. it didnt feel at all special. if i hold a dummy n95 or something, it feels special, like theres a lot to it. the k850i just felt no different from having a k810i in my hands.
2. the buttons. if the dummy model is anything to go by (which it is), the top half of the keypad is gonna cuase real problems and be very dissapointing to use. the 4-way navi key is great, very easy to press as its raised higher then the other buttons. however, the 2 & 5 buttons, which are inside the navi, are VERY difficult to press without accidently pressing the navi key in one direction or another. so anyone with average size fingers is gonna have a nightmare with this. seems like a real design fault to me, but we'll wait and see.
3. the 2 & 5 buttons, which are inside the navi key, are not level with the rest of the buttons. they are slightly higher then the rest of the number buttons. not a big deal, but when u look at in real life, it makes it look a bit scruffy/tacky/messy. would have looked soooooooo much more slicker and neater had all the buttons been in line. i think theyve made a big cock up with the navi buttons. altho the navi pad itself is very easy to use, b'cos of where it is it means that pressing the 2 & 5 buttons is gonna be annoyin and difficult to say the least, and also its meant that the 2 an 5 buttons had to be raised slightly up on the keypad.
other then that, i can say that the green one looks better cos its all black rather then grey/silver on the sides, altho the blue colour itself looks better. logic tells me they should have made the blue one exactly the same as the green, ie they should not have added that gay silver/grey around the side which imo looks a bit cheap and ordinary. the all black on the green model makes it look like a classier more expensive handset.
i dont think i will be buying this if the dummy model is anything to go buy, i wanted a se phone that would make me go WOW! wen i hold it, yet this doesnt feel special at all. real dissapointment on 1st impressions. will wait to see if a real model feels any different, although it wont as dummy models are so good these days, most are even made with the same materials.

Funny I loved the dummy I played with last week. In fact I loved it so much that I changed my mind about taking the t650 I went there for. I think it looks good, different, unique and slick.

I doubt none of the issues to be software related as the N95i 8GB,
If any then SEUS should get rid of it soon

You're serious right? This is a DUMMY PHONE!
You're passing judgement of a production model for what you found in a DUMMY?
* no GUI to use to pass judgement, even make an opinion.
* its not a slider so you cannot even judge what the slide motion is like.
* Colours are "representative" not actual nor even close.
* Button tactile feedback is not even close. Travel is not even close.
* etc.
