2 days but I use it ALL the time. I mean, at least 2 hours/day and a lot of GPRS/3 G e-mail and browsing. With normal use, I guess it's at least 3 days.

I have been checking mine over the last 10 days, the following is a fairly accurate record of mine between charges and no Wi Fi enabled.

Its OK but nothing stunning, the problem with all these things is phone technology is outstripping power cell technology.

48 Hours with very light use 3g enabled

36 Hours with light use 3g enabled plus some browsing and BT enabled

24 36 Hours with light use 3g enabled plus average 30 mins browsing and BT enabled light MP3 player max 1.5 hours per day

12 Hours with light use 3g enabled plus average 30 mins browsing and BT enabled light MP3 player 3 hour per day

..This week, it lasted from Sunday evening to Thursday evening (gsm only). With something around two hours talk altogether, only a bit wifi (three larger files on monday, and some mail and web every day (two favourite columns), updated my playlist with some songs via ftp thursday, which is what killed the battery). No bluetooth, not many smss, received a couple mms.. And then I plugged in the phone when the battery was at 9%.

I'm fairly happy about that It depends a lot on the network coverage, though. It was the same on my k750. It could standby really long, and then suddenly the battery would drain completely because it tended to shift between available networks all the time... depending on which way I turned my head, or something. So if you have two networks competing for your phone in your area, it might be an idea to lock the phone to just one of them. Else, I think the phone is just about continually polling the networks to see which has best coverage (even if one of them is always worse). 3g also is hungry that way, since it's supposed to maintain such and such coverage all the time.

Another thing is, the phone drains battery if the wifi is "enabled". I wrote customer support about it, and it seems that even if there's no traffic, there's power on the modem as long as you've selected "enable". The same with bluetooth. No units coupled, and it still drains power as long as it's "enabled", and the icon is in the status- line.

Same with the camera - if the app is running, even in the background, there's a drain on the battery because the current runs through the camera module.

Some programs also might be a problem - some might run operations in the background even if you don't expect it, even if they do absolutely nothing useful or visible (such as simply continually re- establishing objects that the program allows to be cleaned up, but is part of the main package, and therefore run again every time you open it after another program). And that sort of thing put together with everything else could easily cut the battery down to half, or even less.

In any case - I have to work hard to get the battery below three days without wifi, though..

Two full days with quite heavy usage (practically playing with it whenever I get an opportunity). Its much better than P990 battery, something I really needed.

Mine loses 15-20% a day, very light use with everything except GSM switched off.

I reckon some of the lose is due to the backlight coming on when keys are inadvertantly pressed while its in my pocket. Shelf-life ought to be longer. I've not tested that, though.

I'm a bit disappointed because my previous P900 would lose 10% a day in similar conditions. However, the P900 didn't charge via USB where-as the P1i does. In practice I have the USB cable next to the computer for wired connections, and the mains cable at my bedside for charging. This makes it easy to charge overnight, so as long as it lasts more than a day it's no big deal.
