guyz i came across this site where it clearly mentioned that the phone was lauched on 21st sep 2007 in calcutta india then why cant i find one in any of the stores here in mumbai.can someone pls check with a SE store in calcuttta if they have one .thnx

I've seen lots of sites (news sites, not blogs) mentioning (i.e. quoting a press release from SE India) on 19/20th September that the K850i will be available from next weekend (28/29th September) in India.
Seems like SE marketing was way ahead of the actual shipments. I still can't find the phone anywhere and no one seems to know the price for sure. Looks like it will launch for around Rs. 24,000. Which is crazy IMO because the N95 is selling for around Rs. 24,800.
Well looks like we'll just have to wait for the price to come down to sane levels before thinking of buying.

forget marketing , listen to this just half an hour back i spoke toa lady at sonyericsson customer in mumbai and she told me that the k850i is readily available in all the sony world stores in mumbai she gave me the number for one at marine drive , one at vashi then another at warden road and guess what they told me "sir we have no clue why sonyericsson is saying that the k850i is available in our stores and according to the information we have it will be out only next month".now just imagine the pathetic state of marketing and communication level from SE to me it really sucks!!!
i got this email around two day days and now i have no clue why the company is making fool out of themselves
here are the content

When I called up Sony Ericsson India on monday and they said it will be available in a month... They say its still in testing... The price will be around Rs 24,100 in the market and the MRP is around 25,300...

in the grey market in mumbai it will be available for Rs 29000/- confirm delivery on coming saturday my dealer is taking pre orders.but i will wait till it hit the stores coz price is a bit too high.
