Look what was sent to me by a friend:
Hello everyone!
The Ericsson Company is distributing free computer lap tops in an attempt to
match what Nokia has already done. Ericsson hopes to increase its popularity
this way. For this reason, they are giving away the WAP Laptops. All you
need to qualify is to send this email to 8 people you know. Within 2 weeks,
you will receive Ericsson T18. But if you can send it to 20 people or more,
you will receive Ericsson R320.
Make sure you send a copy to: anna.*****@ ericsson. com (I hid the address myself, it's fully present in original message)
That mail address seems to be valid, i think they wanted to bugger this ericsson official with loads of spam, and harvesting e-mail addresses at the same time.
Ericsson R320! I wonder how long it's been since this mail was distributed..

hehe... that mail must have done a few orbits in the universe by now
started back in 2000 when a mail claimed you should get a free Nokia phone, then someone changed the mail to Ericsson instead and it spred out in the world. The original Ericsson mail didn't give away any laptop, that came a few years later.
