I'm trying to setup Exchange ActiveSync on my P1 with mail2web and get to step 2 of 5 where i enter username server etc, however when I click verify it takes a couple of minutes and then says that the Sync Failed see log for more info
and the log says

0x7370c07
(httpErrTrnsactionTimedOut)
Sync failed!

Is this a problem with my phone or the Mail2 web end?

TIA

I found this:

"
This error indicates that your server name is incorrect. RoadSync is not able to connect to the server name that you entered in the server settings.

Please confirm with your IT department that you are using a publicly accessible domain name for the Exchange Server 2003 (front-end) server. This domain name will probably be in the form of "exchange.mycompany.com". The name will not include "http://" or any slash ( / ) symbols.

You may also use a public IP address that points to your front-end Exchange server if no domain name is available.
"

Hope this help

Hi, I have the same phone and use mail2web with no problems, for server name have you used mobile.exchange.mail2web.com? also check you are using an internet APN to connect to, and not a wap one.

Hope this may help?

Hi Thanks for replies

I'm def using the right server name

How do I check the Internet connection is APN?

The annoying thing is when I first got the phone it was working fine when I tested it but I removed it cos it was costing me a lot in data charges.

I've since got a data bolt-on and want to try again and now it won't work ( I have also updated firmware via SEUS in the interim)

Thanks Again

As you have updated your firmware, you may need a diffrent version of Exchange Active Sync, check your Organiser software version, Main menu tap on More then tap System information and scroll down to see the organiser version.

CXCxxx xxx R6D23 = Exchange Active Sync 2.013
CXCxxx xxx R6E30 = Exchange Active Sync 2.014

Thanks for the replies

I didn't change anything and its working now so I'm not sure whats happened.

However at one point during the afternoon there was an e-mail sitting in the inbox on the phone but the phone didn't indicate that it was there (ie no icon and not alert tone) there was also an sms with the same
