Hello everyone.
My P1i charger seems to hum quite loudly, almost like a ticking. Is this normal? So much so I can hear it from a good few feet away in a quiet room. I don't remember my K800i charger doing this.

i'm not shure what is cuasing this issue. maybe it's not wired to earth?

The humming is caused by the internal transformer, they are supposed to be designed so that during use they don't vibrate. You should be able to return the charger as faulty, imho.

Thanks. It doesn't really annoy me or anything, but I don't want my P1i to blow up! Do you think it could be faulty? I'll try it with my old charger, although that's for the K800, dunno if that'd make a difference.

Its not impossible that the humming could be indicative of a faulty unit, I wouldn't have thought that it will damage your P1 - but I could not guarantee it. If it concerns you I would return the charger as faulty.
In you place I would return the charger for replacement - rather than risk blowing up my p1
