It seems as though the volume key doesn't work on my k850i. The keys work for zoom on the camera, but just skip forward tracks in the media player rather than altering the volume...Not good.

Does anyone have the same problem?

Yeah, I had a k800...in fact I think that's the key press on every SE phone. Problem is, even if I just tap the button it skips a track.

Hopefully someone who has the O2 branded firmware can reply and tell me if it's an O2 issue. If so, I suppose I can bear with it until there is a fix, otherwise I'll have to go back to the k800 for a few days

How are you finding the K850's call volume to be? Loud enough? Is it at least on par with a K790? This is very very important to me as it's probably the issue that bugs me the most about my W800. Thnx is advance.

I would be able to tell you, but the call volume is stuck at the default setting right now because I can't change it...hence the problem lol! But to be honest, I'm finding the default volume to be adequate while sitting in my house, so I can't see how the loudest won't be loud.

offtopic:apparently the volume keys don't function as a shortcut to the phone status menu,can you confirm this?

@ryan
minor bug i guess.
have you tried resetting the phone? or just turned it on and off?

take it back if it doesnt fix it, you should be able to return it for a new one as you only just got it.

though if you dont exchange it, im sure a firmware will fix it later on....

Yeah, my logic is that there is no chance it's a hardware fault, because those keys still do function correctly while in camera mode and also allow me to skip tracks in the media player. So it's not the key that's faulty. I'm going to reload the firmware now and see what happens!
