OK, I try again to put up an forum for all of us big favorite cellphone, Sony Ericsson T300/T310. And Now I am adding the newest in this family. The SONY ERICSSON T230. Why I am adding is, that those 3 phones is almost the same type of phones. The difference is about Screen, IrDa and Polyfonic channels. Okey, now I do add SONY ERICSSON T290i into this thread. So you new users of this phone, can ge in here to ask question. I do hope this thread will live again...

T300 Has Irda, 24 channels polyfonic signals, and 256 STN-screen.
T310 Has IrDa, 32 channels Polyfonic signals, and 256 STN-screen.
T230 hasn't IrDa, It has 32 channels polyfonic signals, and 4096 STN-screen.
T290i is almost the same as T230 but has Speakerphone, the other does not have that. Otherways its the same phone...

Despite that they are the same.

Here you can tell us about tricks, tips and perhaps what these phones should have to become even better.

Jerry

I've just one question for this phone: is the SMS alert polyphonic or not ?

And can you hear the SMS alert or is it like the t68i ?

Thank you for this answer !

Ok thank you... and does it exist a program to transfer contacts (names, numbers, e-mails...) from Outlook to T300 ? I've read on SonyEricsson Website that Sony Ericsson Communcations Suite 1.5.1 only works with t68

Sony Ericsson doesn't have a communication suite yet for the T300 to allow you to sync up your Outlook contacts with the phone. However, someone mentioned in another post that you can just export your contacts individually from Outlook and send those contacts individually to the phone via IR. It is more tedious and still doesn't have a sync feature, but it beats typing it out with the numbers.

If you have infered on your computer you can go to explorer and left click on an item and go to "send to" on the pop up menu and select "infered recipiant". Midi files, theams, games(I think) and graphics can also be sent like this.
