Ever since i've had my T68i (since june) I've had problems with reception. I've had the phone upgraded a few mounths back + activated the GPRS. For a while it worked fine but now im lucky if i make a call or do anything with it! I took it bck 2 a service centre + the say theres nothing they can do bcoz the connecters at the bottem of the phone have eroded slighty. As a last pliught of sanity im thinking of trying theses antena booster things but aint got a qlue how the work or anything so can anyone shed any light or tell me if it will even work?
Sorry for sab story b ut any help would be great. Cheers

Hi,
Well as far as I noticed by using such a antennabooster on my (former earned) T18s, it is complety worthless.....not even worth spending
$ 0.50 cause it doesn't help, it doesn't strenghten the signal.....not even a tiny bit..........
If your signal is so bad, try if the service center can clean your antenna (or maybe you can do this yourself) that is something that you could try. but as far as my own experience with antenna boosters>>>>>>>give your money to a GOOD thing, spend it either on yourself or make somebody happy who doesnt have much to spend.......

I agree!
I've done the same. And I've bought two of those boosters. I thought they were good, but the signal is actually getting worse because of them (probably). That's what I experienced.
The only reason to buy them is to sell them further. It is such a good deal I think.
There are many naives that would spend so much money on a dream.

I had 2 boosters in my t68i and they made no noticeable difference. I read the info on how they are supposed to work, and it's a con, there is no way a sticker with some metal strips no it can catch stray signals and do anything with them. But it is possible to fool people into believing their signal has improved when it hasn't

@MattyB
I have read somewhere that if you change the 'network selection' from 'automatic' to 'manual' and then select you network mannually then the signal will be slightly better. I haven't tried this (coz' I have very good signal where I am right now) but this is worth a try. Let us know if this work.

From an old discussion about those boosters:
If they really work, why didn't SE put them with the phone. They have those weird testing chambers, I really think that SE knows what they do

so don't trust those boosters

For the originator of the post: ur phone drops calls all the time now cuz probably ur provider reseted the antenna so ur signal got worse.It haoppens all the time, they always reposition antena.
Call them and tell them about ur prob, u'll have to fill out a form and they will maybe reposition it back for u...they usually do it..here anyway they do.
