hey guys in two weeks I'm getting a new phone and i have kind of decided I'm going for W850i as i think its all around a really good phone but i have some questions about it:
1) I currently have a w800i (2 years now) and I'm a bit disappointed with its speaker (it makes cracking sounds on the highest volume)? does the w850i have a better one?
2) how is w850 for gaming?
3) is it possible to mod the D-pad as i heard its not comfy ?
4) is it possible to disable the light sensor ?
5) is it possible to disable those lights on the D-pad (those four lights around the navigation part)?
6) is it too old ?should i wait for its successor?

2) how is w850 for gaming? quite good, I have lots of games and they all work very well.
3) is it possible to mod the D-pad as i heard its not comfy as far as i know no modding is possible
4) is it possible to disable the light sensor ? no
5) is it possible to disable those lights on the D-pad (those four lights around the navigation part)? it is possible to turn off light effects only in the walkman mode.
6) is it too old ?should i wait for its successor? imho, it is not too old. the only phones that are better featurewise are admittedly W900 (overall performance) and W950. If you have cash to spend you might like to splash on the forthcoming W960 or W910. However, W850 is somewhat exclusive being the first ever (and a year ago (until W910) flagship) SE slider.
Cheers!

thanks mobse
in regards for cash i have 450$ and here (finland) the price of this phone is 420$ (350-360 euros)
any way the w910 is not an option as i hated the new software layout and the looks of the phone itself it looks too squarish
w960 would have been an option if it was a slider (im really into sliders at the moment and from what i see the only sliders that have gaming keys on top of the display are the N81 and w850 and i like w850 (SE UI is THE BEST)
the only thing making me have a second thought is the D-pad and the light sensor

@ jojo
not really. im currently looking for a slider with gaming keys so my options are really limited
for the camera quality--- i have seen a lot of posts with w850 shots and it looks verry good for everyday use its not like its my main camera i have my own SANYO X-ACTI C4 and its pretty good
but every now and then when im with my friends i wont be bringing that camera and the w850i camera seems to be just fine I HOPE
