It's a relatively stable fw version but R6e28 is the latest and last update for the p990i world generice version

R6D23 was a good and stable release. It is not the latest, R6E28 is the latest (and last) update for the P990.

However you are unlikely to notice any significant difference between the two firmware versions.

Unless you are noticing a specific bug yourself, I can recommend just sticking with R6D23.
