I got my phone about a few weeks back and after connecting it to the SEUS updater service and updating my phone to the newest software... every phone call, text message and MMS will display the raw number (i.e. 12126665555) and not the contact that has the associated number (i.e. John Doe - Mobile). The Sony Ericsson forums don't seem to have anything more on this bug and I was wondering if anyone knows of a way to fix the issue?

The weird part is that on text or MMS, on opening the message, the sender part associates with my phone book... but on phone calls outgoing or incoming, it does not link to my phone book.

Here's the details on my firmware and etc. for the interested:

* Phone: CXC162037 R9GA001
* Bluetooth: CXC162058 R5A01
* Organizer: CXC162036 R6E28
* CDA: CDA162007/1 R6E28

Firmware created on Aug 2, 2007 (per the My-Symbian.com forums)

I'll give it another shot... but I remember seeing a Developer article on Google saying that it is a problem with the current release of the firmware the only issue is that I can't find the link about it.

Some people are additionally saying that it could be all the contacts on the SIM are causing an issue as well, so I may be doing a wipe of both my SIM and resetting my phone. I'll give the update service another shot in hopes of progress. Thanks for the advice though.

Actually, I forgot to update the post...

Did the master reset and then cleared off the SIM completely. The issue seemed to resolve itself after the SIM was cleaned out. Many thanks for the help!
