> Average K800 pictures - my fault?

Hi all, i'm *new* but not really. I was a member ages ago and have been a member of a lot of other forums on the net so I know the rules and stuff
Anyway, I had a K750i for about 2 years and just traded it up for a K800i. The K750i took pretty good photos I thought, and I obviously expected the K800i to take even better pictures. I've had the phone for 2 weeks now, and i've been taking some pictures when I can.
So, after taking and looking at pictures over the last couple of weeks, it seems to me that the pictures with the K800i look worse than the K750i photos I had used for 2 years. The K800i pictures seem to be slightly out of focus and a bit dull. I'm wondering whether this is my fault for doing something wrong, or whether this is normal.
Below are some photos I took at a vintage car swap today. The weather was crap, but i've added another photo I took last week on a fine day too.
By the way, i'm using R1ED001.
Other than that, the phone is pretty sweet. I like the new media player (the K750 was shockingly bad at organising songs) although, the battery life seems to be quite short on the K800i. (Even though I turned 3G off.)

The K750i still surely would have taken BETTER shots than those

What do you suggest I do? I see that there is one more firmware upgrade available but according to the esato firmware overview it doesn't add anything except bugs!!
Should I go outside and take some now? It's overcast outside though.

imo, i guess you have the macro mode on or you just need to upgrade your firmware. though a new camdriver would help.

Nope macro mode isn't on. These pictures were all taken with 0 zoom and everything set to auto.
I'll go outside now and take some pictures, then post them. See if it's any better.
Should I upgrade my firmware then?

@hump - YEAH, proper LIGHTING (SUN shining at it's PEAK) is very IDEAL for a DECENT-outdoor-shots matey. Also, I guess your K800 does NOT like - O L D objects to be shot at
those vintage machineries should have been taken in: SEPIA mode . . .

Haha Jojo. Yeah sure. OK these are some more I just took outside the door.
It's overcast still but you get the idea. The picture of the flowers is really nice, that was taken using macro.
But if you look at the other ones, you can see that they aren't very sharp. It's like the auto-focus isn't working very well. Normally the symptoms of bad light are grainy photographs, the light shouldn't affect the sharpness that much.

Nice pictures. See the colour on mine doesn't seem to be as vibrant as it should be.
Funny thing, the last two pictures I uploaded were taken with Macro mode on.
I'm going to update the firmware in a tick though.
