You probably have the latest firmware for your CDA. Is your 990 a branded one from a network?

In anycase you need to change to a generic world cda which will then allow you to upate to the latest firmware.

See

OR

http://www.davinciteam.com

One is free, one isn't - one gets a full company support one don't - its up to you which you decide to do, either way you will probably have to flash your phone several times.

[EDIT : scrap that, I just checked your CDA number and you are on world 1. I'd make sure you have the latest SEUS installed and do a completely clean install of it - uninstall your current, completely remove the folder from program files, then download and install the latest - this might solve the problem]

A prototype? Hmm you need to check this (PeterKay would be good) but i'm pretty sure the proto ones aren't upgradable via SEUS.

You could try davinci then, certainly drop them a line - they might be able to update your phone.

Unless gbrooks3 can get his XS++ app to flash it I'd try davinci, both have their own software for updating the p1. At the moment SEUS is checking your IMEI before the software update, and because you have a proto phone SEUS is then preventing any firmware upgrade.

There is good reason for this, it has been known for prototype phones to have different hardware to the production units, although i don't think SE have done that recently.

How on earth did you get hold of an old prototype anyway?
