Hmm, i've been reading around the forums that one of the latest firmware upgrades is supposed to enforce the internet shortcut key to be held down for a brief period of time before entering the browser to avoid doing it accidentally.

This seems like a wonderful function and, even though I have the latest firmware, I don't have it! My browser still opens straight away with even the shortest touch of that button. Is it an option I have to enable somewhere, or is there a problem?

If so, how would I fix this? It's probably the single most annoying thing on my phone!

Nothing you can do about it. All WotaNServer f/ws don't have this prolonged-pressed internet key feature.

Let alone SEUS. You must accept what it is now.

Uh - ok, not meaning to be rude or anything but what do you mean exactly? I don't quite follow.

I don't mind if it isn't fixed but i'm interested as to why it isn't working in the first place.

When I had a K800i you had to press and hold the internet button for it to load the internet. Maybe it is only on certain regional firmwares.

This lovely feature has been removed since R1KG for unknown reasons...
For now, you can flash to R1JG which requires you to hold the internet button for the browser to open.

Ohh I see.

Well mines original New Zealand bought from Vodafone and when I go to SEUS to update if there is a new firmware it will recognise it as European and download that firmware.

That's real stupid of them to get rid of it!!

So, is that the last firmware for K800i, now that K810 and K850 are out?
