Hi,

I use a mac and have so far been unable to get my new K850i to recognise individual folders as photo albums. I want to be able to use the media manager to view my photos but not all in one giant album of 2000 pics. I'm assuming that when you use PCSuite it lets you create photo albums. Can someone please let me know what the file/folder structure is like in file manager when you do this so that hopefully I can use file manager to put my albums in there.

Alternatively, maybe some genius could write some 3rd party software for the mac??? Please???

Thanks for any help in advance!

Also K850i Mac user, so I would be interested in any solutions too.

If anyone is able to clarify the possiblity of iSync support for the K850i that'd be handy too (or any other 3rd party applications like MacMedia PhoneAgent).

Cheers

Feisar have iSync support listed on their website now, bluetooth only though. They suggested http://www.novamedia.de/e_pages/e_produkte_mac_fl_mc.html this seems to support K850i (again, only bluetooth) but I'm not 100% sure that it'll solve my album structure problem.

Yes, we have an iSync Phone Plugin for the Sony Ericsson K850i

http://www.feisar.com/plugins.html

All Sony Ericsson phones communicate with Macs better via Bluetooth than USB - that's why most applications work via Bluetooth.

I've installed the feisar plug-ins for iSync and Address Book now and am very pleased. Cheap to purchase and excellent functionality, thanks feisar!

You would be much better off using the free plugin!

I've posted instructions here:

Good luck!

Feiser plug in works great, used Jools plugins since K750.

Top chap and always there to answer any tech questions.

Unfortunately, there's at least 2 things technically wrong with the 'free' plugin:

1) It hasn't been made properly so it causes internal clashes (inside the iSync application) with one of Apple's native plugins.

2) The instructions tell you to install it in completely the wrong place, totally against Apple's Developer guidelines and doing so will cause numerous issues in future iSync updates.

Then there's the fact it comes with no installer, no warranties and no technical support whatsoever.

Agree with you Jools.

For the cost of the Feiser plug in you get excellent direct support and a plug in that works every time all of the time.

Has done for my last three SE's

And for the price... its a bargain.

Now... the developer needs to do a few for Nokia N Series so I can leave this K850 behind and use a phone that works...

One day SE will get it working I'm sure, but today its a pile of poo.

On my way tomorrow to get my FOURTH K850... the bluetooth audio is useless and it fails to send to my Mac. last two did but they had other issues.

Sorry, rant over.
