Went into my local cpw today to have a look at the k850.

So this rather incapable set of staff went into the back to get a new one out, took it out of the box, and then 3 of them struggled over trying to slide the back of the phone off to put a sim card in, before i intervened by pointing out to them that the back does not come off, rather there is a latch on the base of the phone. Still they couldnt manage to open it, and ended up in them saying

'here you go mate, you do the honours'

I couldn't believe 3 staff in a phone shop couldnt put a sim into the k850, they made me do it...the customer. They were so incapable.

LOL, and then there's the muppets at the local Phones 4U on Saturday trying to sell me the all-new 'W770i' ... I actually took a few pics with the ol' P900, of the hand-written ad outside the shop as well. Will try post it later.

I did feel like a bit of an anorak correcting them, but you'd think they'd double check that they haven't muddled their K's and W's before displaying it for all the general public to see...

Why do they employ people who don't know what they are doing. I'd be a far better sales assistant.

some of them talk such crap to sell their phones, one day i had to interupt a sales woman in the o2 store, whilst she was telling a customer that the w850 and k800's cameras were of the same quality.

I was so disgusted, i stopped her mid sentence to advise the customer myself.

they are incapable of doing something themselves and when a customer tells/shows them how to do something THEY get the hump and think the customer is being a smartass.
when i bought my phone the sales assistant that served me didnt know how to do the top-up so she said forget it and let me have the phone without the £20 top-up.
i didnt want the top up anyway so i wasnt complaining.

I should be getting a job at phones 4 u so hopefully i can change that and someone who knows at least a little about mobile phones will work there. Which reminds me anyone got and info about working 4 phones 4 u? And does any1 know if they have any deals for staff?

staff at phone shops usually have a special staff tariffs which are really good value for money

different company's have partnership with different company's so the deals available differ

I went into CPW at the weekend and the guy demo'd the k850 for me - he then started to slag off the phone, saying that the pictures weren't of great quality and it couldn't grab much detail.

I just thanked him and walked out.
