Ive been really searching many days but not any sufficient answer Ive still found.

I think about to buy Plantronics 590 but Im still not sure if it works as I expect. I really would like to recommend any bluetooth stereo headset (SH) and bluetooth dongle that works perfectly automated with computer (the best BT in version 2 for both, class I).

So I want to be my headphones immediately connected as a stereo headphones when I turn on my SH....listen to music.....then Skype call......change to headset just with touch the SH (or automatically) to make microphone working....after call just to change by touch the SH (or automatically) to listening to music mode.......then a.e. turning off the SH I want to computer automatically go back to laudspeakers. So I dont want to touch my computer at all before, during or after any mode in bluetooth device. Or just to make working both modes all the time - " stereo headset + microphone "). I cant believe that this simple and really expected controlling system is still not implemented into operating system (of course Im talking about Microsoft smile.png

Is all this possible?

Which stereo headset, bluetooth USB dongle, driver for Windows XP SP2 would you recommend me for my demands?

thank you

I thing that this useful and demanded for every average PC user because not every configuration is working as I want, so tell me please your PERFECTLY WORKING configuration (SH, dongle, driver, ...)

Well according to even the original draft of what bluetooth should be able to do all of that is possible, unfortunately real life doesn't live up to it.

You may well be able to achieve close to what you want but IMO certainly not straight out of a box and just plugging in a dongle and connecting it to a headset.

Unless of course anyone else knows different?

To me Bluetooth has never delivered what it promised other than basic functionality and has fallen well short of all the Auto syncing as you come into range and all the other great things it promised.

As for A2DP the only advantage i see is no cable the disadvantages are needs charging and inferior quality to a wired solution. Personally i would go for quality over convenience every time especially where Music is concerned.
