Ok so we've all heard the classic excuse as to why people haven't handed in their homework, but has it actually ever happened to any one?

Whats the funniest excuse you've ever given to a teacher as to why you've not handed in your homework?

I've used that excused ONCE in elementary . . . saying to my teacher that: My Dog Ate My HOMEWORK . . . then my teacher asked me: So, what did you do to your DOG I replied: To retaliate, I ATE my Dog too !

@Jojo, that was hilarious!

To be honest, although i had never used "the dog ruse", i had made up some excuses just as lame

@KCC4
So did it work.

Never really gave excuses if I ever didn't do it just kept quiet and usually the teacher didn't notice, and yes I was always one of the quieter ones.

Well I never got into much trouble, I had a good strategy, I would look for the kid who didnt come to class that day (There was always atleast one) and I told the teacher that I lent my homework to that kid for reference, and he promised to return it to me in class, but he didnt turn up.

Aye my puppy ate mine about a month ago (9months old), I done it all and the git ate it.

I took what was left in to college and told my tutor that the dog ate it....luckily he's got a very good sense of humor

Eaten phone, camera, sofa, skurting board etc too so paper was no problem for the sod.
