Just in case anyone else was using inclusive minutes on O2 to access dial-up data - they changed their contracts at the end of September, even for pre-existing contracts. Hence, in addition to paying £35, I also got charged £7 for a weekend's data use (and a few minutes voice)
Thanks guys, you just bought yourself about 30 years worth of bad publicity...

Why not try using GPRS/3G data?

because my contract has 400min inclusive minutes, and I don't use that much voice. O2's data charges are a joke as well.

i didn't even realise that data dial up was included in my mins! that would have been useful! spent £60 on gprs one month with o2. to their credit they do now offer an ok data deal. think its £10 for 20mb (might be wrong?)

O2 now offer a data package which makes a bit more sense: 200 Mb for £7.50
Hope this helps.
