Anyone know what the problem is?

When i try and sync my P1i, via PC suite for Smartphones, it progresses to 6 green bars and hangs. Windows task manager shows my CPU is lock at 100%. Even when i delete/stop 'PC suite for Smartphones' the CPU is locked at 100%, only a reboot will fix it.

I has worked before, and if i reinstall the software again, it works for a while then the problem reoccurs.

Im's using WinXP and latest FW (/1)

Any ideas ?

Same problem here with vista. I thought I was the only one, since I couldn't find a similar thread in deifferent forums.
although I cannot make it work at all, even if I reinstall pc suite. I've tried the previous version and the new one again, but to no avail.
any advice?

p.s. i'm using p990.

at least does anybody know if there's an alternative to pc suite. I really need to syncronize my contacts and calendar.

What are you syncing with? This sounds like a problem outside of PC Suite itself.

what do you mean by that?

i have a p990 and pc suite 1.3.22 on windows vista ultimate.
i usually sync via BT but have the cable handy at all times in case i need it. result is the same both times.

i reinstalled vista 2 days ago and when i tried to sync i had the same problem. when i had xp sp2 i never had these problems. pc suite is claimed to be vista compatible, though. so i'm guessing it's not my phone's fault (it worked in the past), perhaps it's not pc suite per se but in combination with vista.... although i must say that pc suite just stopped working one day, when i first installed vista it worked flawlessly. could be a vista update or something messing with it.

that said, there's one more thing people with this problem might try. when i was looking for an alternative yesterday i downloaded FMA (float's mobile agent) hoping it would sync with outlook. unfortunately it does not, at least not with p990. but later i tried to sync with pc suite again and IT WORKED! it could only be an odd coincidence since i tried to sync only once and i don't have my laptop (the computer i use fo syncing) here with me now to try it agian.

What i mean is what PIM are you syncing with? It could be a vista problem, i have vista ultimate too, but don't use outlook (horrible software!) in fact I don't sync at all

I have always found the syncing with outlook to be problematic at best, in then end i just gave up - it always seemed to screw something up along the way.

Have you tried searching the outlook forums for help?

I have the same issue ...

I tried to sync up my contact & calender on outlook 2007 with Vista. Seem like the PC suite vers 1.3.22 unable communicate with certain vista dll file.

I log a case with SE been 10 days, none of the able to provide any solution.

Initially I thought the issue was caught with me, seem like those having 1.3.22 was having the same issue.

What I have try as below:
1. Install with CD supplier version. (Not working, uninstall)
2. Install with web latest version 1.3.22. (Not working, uninstall)
3. Suspect my laptop OS issue, send to my IT dept re-image the OS & office 2007. Then reinstall the PC suite ver 1.3.22. (No luck)

My issue still hanging in the air without solution, been talking to SE for the pass 10 working days. Seem useless ...

The last resource was selling the phone ... SAD & DISAPPOINTED !

HELP!

I tried to install the latest version of PC Suite for Smartphones so I can back up all my files before I do a firmware update on my P1i. But I can't seem to install it properly on all my computers. I still use Windows XP on my laptop and desktop. I also use Windows XP, using Parallels on my Macbook Pro.
