I just got my cable tonight and thought, cool, I'll install those themes I downloaded now.
I first went to the christiannson.org or whatever site and downloaded sendfile. That didn't work so I removed it.
Then I went to sonyericsson.com and downloaded the Image Editor, the mobile phone monitor, and the Communications Suite.
NOTHING WORKS. I removed the software and reinstalled it several times, tried both Comm ports, etc, etc.
What is the Mobile Modem settings program and the dial-up-networking program that were installed ?
Where the heck are you supposed to find instructions on how to do this and explain to use these programs ?

i suggest you do a search on 'mobile phone monitor' problem reports and solutions to those have been posted.

Here is the cable I got:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=20348&item=1941970424
When I click on the mobil modem settings I get this message: No moden with HSCSD capabilities installed. If I had a MANUAL for these programs maybe I could tell if that is right or not.
When I click on the Dial-Up-Networking wizard it doesn't find my phone.
When I open the image editor it says no phone detected.
When I open the phone monitor options in the control panel and go to the set-up tab and click on troubleshooting it doesn't go anywhere.
I already tried downloading everything 3 times....

@shawno, if the cable is indeed a data cable as claimed by the seller, you should:
1. go to control panel -> Phone Monitor Options
2. click COM tab and enable the COM port where the cable is connected
that's it.
for dial-up networking, just use the Windows wizard and specify 'T68 cable modem' in the device.
if these things don't work, i'm afraid you got a flash cable, not a data cable, and it will never work until you open it up and change the connections.

You're right. I just removed everything from my computer and downloaded the communications suite 4 and tried it again exactly as you said and it didn't work (didn't recognize my phone).
Guess I'll have to try another cable.
thanks, shawn
How can I "change" it to work ?
