> Cam driver for p1i?

I've seen all these modded camera drivers for K800, K750, etc. Will anyone ever bother to do that for the P1i?

Maybe. I think its easier to mod the firmware for the K series and others due to the non-smartphone nature of the phone. Modding the driver for symbian might be more complex, with many more potential pit-falls.
Having said that, Davinci have a p1 firmware which they modified to remove the security checks from applications, opening the p1 for unsigned apps for example.
I guess we will just have to wait and see/

I really want that damned cam driver fixed. And I thought the Hong Kong firmware was updated pretty often...I guess i was wrong lol.
Think of the potential of the 3.2 Megapixel camera. I really hope someone out there will develop a better driver

well, taking a look at the p990 pics thread, I realize that either the cam driver is way better on the p990, the lens is better on that one too, the users posting there are using regular digital cameras instead, or the p1i cam driver sucks...
