This is a fairly obvious question and im hoping that some one can prove me wrong. I've been searching around on the web for a while now trying to find a compatable PDF viewer to run on my W850i. I can only come to the conclusion that such a beast does not exist Can anyone prove me wrong? Please?

There is an application which can read PDF files on your W850. Hmm, I'll see if I can find it. Can't remember the name. If not, then I'm sure somebody else can

Edit: Found the thread already. Here you go

Thanks for a snappy reply, i wasn't aware of google docs, it some how sliped past me. Is there an off line solution as the ebooks i have are around 15-25mb in size, i realy don't want to pay to view them over the internet on my phone.

Sorry, man. It was the wrong thread.

If it's just text, you can copy and paste in a txt and use readmaniac.

Nope sadly it's not just text, there are charts and diagrams as well. I am going to try distiling the file and drop all the images down to 72dpi to see if i can reduce the file size to less than 3meg to see if i stand a fighting chance at being able to read this book on the train lol.

Hi; after reading your thread on the same problem I have, I think I may have found a solution to the problem. Well a pretty basic solution, but if it works hey what the hell. Let me jot down the steps and i'll get back to you.

Oh no need to tell me this is an old thread too

Hi there didn't take as long as first thought as follows...

Software Needed: PC Based Adobe Acrobat Reader Software
Notepad (pre-installed on Windows)
Microsoft Word (My copy is Office Pro)

1) Open the desired PDF file

2) Select ‘File’ from toolbar

3) Select ‘Save As Text’ (may take some time depends on size)

4) Step 3 creates a notepad file with the raw information. Text OK, not sure
about images

5) Save notepad file to your hard drive

6) Open Word software

7) Copy all desire text from Notepad file

And, Paste copied text into the word document

Possibly add Images, Diagrams & Pictures could be added to Word Document Here

9) Select ‘File’ from Word toolbar

10) Select ‘Save As’

11) Enter File name, but click on ‘Save AS Type’ down arrow

12) Select ‘Web Archive’

13) Click ‘Save’ (make sure you can fine the file easily)

14) Connect the W850i to the PC via supplied cable, and transfer file

15) To view on the phone goto ‘menu’, ‘folders’ move cursor down to file
name

Note: Views as a web page so may take a few seconds to open, can be in portrait or landscape and also have zoom options allowed . Also be aware the phone seems not to like large files 200k + , therefore you may need to split larger files into segments.

Hope this helps, I followed the above steps and transfered a complete eBook from a PDF file onto the W850i phone, but had to split it into chapters to make the files smaller. Best of luck.
