Every time, I need to change the settings for taking a photo. I would like to save my desired settings for easy & quick taking a photo. Can someone tell me how to do it. Thanks!!

Yeap, same problem but only with the flash. The default setting is OFF and I hate that.

On the p1 you can use the number keys to quickly change some of the camera settings,

3 & 6 zoom in and out
# turns the icons on and off
2 changes the camera mode, still, video etc etc etc
1 changes resolution
4 changes focus mode
7 turns night mode on and off
* turns flash on and off

jog dial changes brightness

Hope this helps, much easier than messing about with the menu.

I actually remember it being possible to save settings (and it also remembers the flash mode for me... but that might be coz it keeps running in the background).

But using the user-mode/custom-mode (can't remember the name and since I sent away my P1i for repair I can't check it either) it IS possible to apply your own custom settings and let it remember them. Have to get back on this one though...
